Scope of Workshop

Development of highly efficient photovoltaic systems is one of the focal areas of research in the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Materials (CAM), Cochin University Science and Technology. The photovoltaic systems have shown their potential application in solar power generation, communications, rural electrification projects, space applications etc. around the world. Photovoltaic cells provide clean energy but their development is hindered by production cost, material availability, and toxicity. The aim of this workshop is, therefore, to contribute to a better understanding of recent developments in solar energy harvesting and methods to overcome the existing limitations of photovoltaic systems. This brainstorming workshop brings the opportunity to collaborate and share ideas to address the development of futuristic photovoltaic systems.

Ψ-Fest 2018

Ψ-Fest 2018’ is the Project Presentation Competition for the M.Sc II^nd year students of CUSAT Physics Department which will be conducted on the 17^th of March 2018.

Submission of Abstract

Participants are invited to give oral/poster presentation. The authors may upload their abstract through the upload document portal before 1^st March 2018. Please follow the guidelines for submitting abstract available at downloads. The best paper award instituted by SPIE CUSAT Student Chapter carries a cash prize and citation.

Registration

The participation is restricted to pre-registered candidates only. The registration fee is Rs. 500/- per person. The delegates must draw Demand Draft in favour of The Honorary Director, Centre of Excellence in Advanced Materials, CUSAT, Kochi-682022 payable at SBI, CUSAT Branch, Number of participants is limited and will be on first come first served basis.Those who need financial support are requested to upload the scanned copy of duly signed financial assistance request form.
