nd International conference on Optoelectronic Materials and Thin films for Advanced Technology (OMTAT 2013) was held from 3

th of January, 2013 in Kochi, India. This is the 2
nd in the series of OMTAT (1
st was held in December 2005 in Kochi, India). The theme of the conference is oxide materials for optoelectronic applications. The symposium was jointly organized by Department of Physics, CUSAT, Centre for Advanced Materials(CAM) CUSAT, ECS CUSAT Student Chapter and SPIE CUSAT Student chapter along with the members of Nanophotonic & Optoelectronic Devices Laboratory.
